Plato para Todos

Plato para Todos is a food project in the south of Quito, the capital of Ecuador. The project is created to help the youth of Quito with their nutrition and development. Plato para Todos, which means “a meal for everyone”, focuses on children at risk of serious health problems due to malnutrition.

A good meal for everyone!

With the project Plato para Todos, Local Dreamers focuses on making a practical contribution to stimulate healthy dietary patterns, nutritional awareness and offering a varied diet. We provide nutrition and health education, prepare fresh and healthy meals and work on the distribution of food from surplus to deficit areas.

Within this project we aspire for close community formation, shared sense of responsibility and awareness – not only among the children, but also among the parents and caregivers. With this we try to achieve that the growing income inequality leads to a lesser extent of serious malnutrition in the south of Quito.
